Harmony House Tours (Burnaby)

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, together with Insightful Healthy Homes and Habitat Design + Consulting Ltd., invite you to tour of Harmony House. This project, a winning selection in CMHC’s EQuilibrium™ Sustainable Housing competition, is now at the pre-drywall stage. This industry-focused tour will provide an inside look at the project’s innovative insulation systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems and high-performance windows. Many of the suppliers and those involved in the house design and construction will be available to answer questions. Tours are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon and 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011. The house is located at 7990 Joffre Avenue, Burnaby. There is no cost. However, space is limited. Note: WorkSafeBC regulations require participants to wear hard hats and work boots. CMHC has a very limited supply of hard hats, so participants must bring their own work boots.
