Heritage BC Annual Conference – Sept 26-27
September 10, 2014
The Heritage BC annual conference is taking place in Cloverdale on September 26-27th. This year’s theme, “Building Bridges”, is about bringing it all together and building bridges across diverse interests, challenges and approaches to heritage conservation in BC. Heritage BC welcomes members of the architecture sector to join heritage planners, professionals, business, government, educators and heritage organizations for two informative and energizing days of discussion, collaboration and networking. Members of the Planning Institute of British Columbia (PIBC) can also earn 7.0 Continuous Professional Learning Units per day for attending the conference. Some highlights of the conference include: the Keynote Speaker Associate Professor Maged Senbel, four sessions of concurrent workshops, Heritage BC AGM, and a unique Awards Gala at Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino.
There will also be a Heritage Marketplace showcasing products, services and opportunities of special interest to the heritage conservation community in BC. The marketplace is an opportunity to reach out directly with an information booth in the atrium of the Cloverdale Recreation Centre throughout their Annual Conference.
