AIBC-BOABC BC Building Code Seminars (Updated)

Energy Provisions 9.36 of the BCBC

The AIBC, in conjunction with the Building Officials’ Association of BC (BOABC), will be delivering education seminars in 10 locations throughout the province.  These seminars will deal with the new energy provisions of the code. The province’s recent adoption of the 2012 National Model Building Code amendments for energy efficiency in housing and small buildings will become effective on December 19, 2014.

Dates: October 22 – November 26, 2014
Location: 10 locations throughout the province
Cost: $315.00 Includes GST(#86748 6813) & Lunch

Attendees must download the presentation materials from the BOABC website prior to attending.  After clicking on the link, scroll down the page and the presentations are listed under item 15.  Attendees can also click on the first link under ‘What’s New’ on the home page titled ‘BCBC Energy Efficiency Requirements for Part 9 Buildings Presentation PDFs’. Printed copies of the presentation materials will not be handed out during the sessions.

Space is still available in many of the venues, registrants working on Part 9 buildings are strongly advised to attend.  If that is not possible, reviewing the above-noted PDFs of the presentations will give an overview of the issues as a gateway to self-study.
