Liveable growth in Vancouver: Improving our development, transportation and economy

ULI BC is pleased to present Mayor Gregor Robertson for a keynote address –  Liveable growth in Vancouver: Improving our development, transportation and economy.

Vancouver’s housing market and economy are among the strongest in North America, but without a more coordinated approach to development and transportation, we risk going backwards. Our city faces enormous challenges: huge demand for affordable housing, an overstretched transit system, and more than 1 million people moving to Metro Vancouver in the next 30 years. The types of housing we build, the transportation projects we choose, and the jobs we enable will determine if Vancouver moves to the next level as a global city.

How do we make sure we get the big questions right when it comes to our transit system and housing development? How do we build for the future while protecting what makes today’s Vancouver great? The choices Vancouver City Hall has to make in the coming years will determine what path our city will follow. Join Mayor Gregor Robertson as he outlines his vision for addressing Vancouver’s toughest challenges while enabling our city’s continued success.

Following his talk, Mayor Robertson will have a candid discussion with Alan Boniface (Principal, DIALOG and ULI BC Spring Meeting Co-Chair) to delve further into what lays ahead for the City of Vancouver.  Learn more & register.
