UBC SALA Evening Lecture: Margolese National Design for Living prize winner Bing Thom

UBC SALA is hosting an evening lecture honouring Vancouver-based architect and urban designer Bing Thom, who is the winner of the second annual $50,000 Margolese National Design for Living Prize. The Margolese Prize is awarded by UBC’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture to a Canadian who has made and continues to make outstanding contributions to the development or improvement of living environments for Canadians of all economic classes. The jury, comprised of David Beers, editor of the online news source The Tyee; Phyllis Lambert, Founding Director and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian Centre for Architecture; and Nancy Noble, CEO of the Museum of Vancouver. The lecture will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Robson Square (800 Robson Street).

New Mailing Times For AIBC eNews

Please be advised that the AIBC will be looking into a new mailing time for eNews.  Currently, it is sent out on Friday afternoon. During a short period of beta testing, we will continue to send out eNews weekly however it will be issued at a different time and/or day of the week.  Our goal is to identify a time slot when readers can fully benefit from convenient access to updates and timely announcements.  We will begin the beta testing phase during the week of March 24, 2014.
