Validation Conference: Survey Results
March 5, 2014
In October 2013, the Canadian Architectural Licensing Authorities (CALA) undertook a national survey of intern architects, recent architectural graduates, newly-licensed architects and their firms. The goal was to better understand where improvements can be made to meet the needs and expectations of the profession when it comes to architectural education and internship. The survey results will shape and inform the agenda for the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB) Validation Conference, to be held in September 2014.
The theme of this conference, Educating Future Architects, will focus on the education of future practicing architects from a student beginning a pre-architecture program to licensure and registration. At this conference, the CACB and its collateral organizations (CALA, CASA, CCUSA, RAIC) will be concerned with the future education and internship process for architectural professionals. The last such conference was held in September 2001.
