Float Fill Flood: Building on Water
February 21, 2014
As the recipient of AIA Seattle’s 2013 Emerging Professionals Travel Scholarship, David Dahl, Assoc. AIA, explored three international sites – Inle lake, Myanmar; Mexico City, Mexico; and Venice, Italy – that have built a blurry relationship with water. The successes and failures of these systems provide insights into the wetter, more vulnerable future of all waterfront cities. The research from Dahl’s travels and projections for Seattle’s future relationship with water will be on display March 4 – April 25. The Opening Reception will take place on Thursday, March 6 from 5-7 p.m. at the AIA Seattle Design Gallery. Drinks and light snacks provided.
