Women in Architecture: Call for Presenters

WIA is planning a gathering on January 9, 2014 which will be held at the University of British Columbia School of Architecture. This will be a good opportunity to particularly reach out to the student community. The program for the evening will be a series of presentations by women working within and around the field of architecture in Vancouver. WIA is looking for approximately six women volunteers to do very brief (6-8 minutes each) presentations, each highlighting a unique approach and perspective on the profession. Examples of work should be included. The hope is that the evening will encompass voices from a broad range of professionals: sole practitioners; partners of larger firms; those teaching architecture; city employees; and project managers. If you are interested in presenting, please send a brief description of your presentation topic and professional experience to: Kate Gerson (germadd@telus.net). Please note: If a large number of proposals are received, WIA will select presenters from among the proposals received, based on a first come first served basis, while also balancing content.
