Public Review of Ventilation Requirements
September 11, 2013
In April 2013, the Province of British Columbia adopted the National Building Code amendments for energy efficiency in housing. These amendments will become effective on December 19, 2014. To support the new amendments, the province is proposing new ventilation requirements that would address reduced infiltration of fresh air into energy efficient housing. As part of that process, AIBC members and associates are invited to take part in a public review by learning about what is being considered and completing a brief, related survey being conducted by the Building & Safety Standards Branch. More information on these proposals and to access the online survey, click here.
