Annual Meeting Summary

The 2013 AIBC Annual Meeting, which took place Saturday, June 1 in Vancouver, included the following items of business:

• Adoption of the minutes from the 2012 AIBC Annual Meeting and the 2012 Special Meeting.
• Recognition of those AIBC members and other registrants who passed away in the previous 12 months.
• A report from outgoing AIBC Council President David Yustin Architect AIBC (click here for report);
• Submission of the annual Audited Financial Statements, followed by the Treasurer’s Report (click here for report);
• A report on the efforts of council`s Associates Options Task Force, from task force chair Lynne Werker Architect AIBC (click here for report)
• A report on the efforts of council`s Strategic Planning Task Force, delivered by task force chair Chip Barrett Architect AIBC and member David Yustin Architect AIBC.

Following the presentations, time was allowed for a Members Forum permitting many of those in attendance to bring forward questions and comments related to the issues and initiatives that had been raised. The meeting culminated with the announcement of election results for the 2013/14. Final voting numbers, reflecting a record high level of participation, were as follows:
