CaGBC National Conference and Expo 2013
Building Lasting Change
The buildings and infrastructure built today must be resilient and adaptive to a changing environment. It is essential they create long-term value through improved energy performance and less water consumption. Communities should be designed to mitigate the environmental challenges that lie ahead, and this involves city planning that accommodates vast future urbanization, while still providing improved quality of life. The upcoming 2013 CaGBC National Conference and Expo will examine the challenges faced in building lasting change. Keynote speakers include visionary environmental business leader and advocate Robert F. J. Kennedy Jr., and Jeb Brugmann, a global practice leader in local sustainability and poverty reduction. The program features the following educational streams:
- LEED in Canada: 10 Years of Innovation
- Future Green: Neighbourhoods and Cities
- Leading the Way: Green Commercial Real Estate
- Next Generation of Products and Materials
- Pushing the Boundaries: Net Positive Buildings (SB13)
- Master Speaker Series
