Six-Storey Wood Frame Design Concerns and Considerations

Recent regulatory changes now allow for the construction of six-storey wood frame buildings. B.C.’s current economy requires a constant refinement of engineered designs to maximize structural efficiency while minimizing construction costs. While there are many benefits to designing and constructing these types of buildings, there are also challenges that affect more than the structural and seismic requirements.
