BCIT Exhibition and Opening Reception

The British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Architectural Science Degree program invites you to celebrate the achievements of this year’s graduating class. From April 16 to May 29, 2013, the AIBC Architecture Gallery will feature “Challenging The Status Quo”, an exhibition of graduate projects, both individual and group investigations, for all 20 fourth-year graduate students. The projects focus on the Grandview –Woodlands area of Vancouver, with each student working on a unique site and self-selected program. The projects on display are the result of a year-long studio that required graduates to work from developing design concepts through to technical detailing, collaborating with various consultants and professional guests along the way. The studio, offered in conjunction with Vancouver’s CityStudio program, encouraged students to investigate their ideas on a broader urban scale and with consideration of both the goals for the City of Vancouver’s Greenest City 2020 initiative and the Living Building Challenge. An opening reception takes place Tuesday, April 23, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the AIBC Architecture Gallery, 440 Cambie Street, Vancouver. Please confirm your plans to attend at communications@aibc.ca.
