ADP Volunteers Wanted

The AIBC’s Advisory Design Panel Committee is seeking volunteers to serve on advisory design panels throughout the lower mainland and on Vancouver Island. This is a great opportunity to review new developments, assist architects and municipalities in promoting good design, and dialogue with colleagues on urban design issues … not to mention it’s seriously good wholesome fun. The following communities currently need your expertise, knowledge and a dusting off of those old Jane Jacobs theories you studied in university:

  • Oak Bay
  • Parksville
  • Saanich
  • University Endowment Lands
  • Whistler

In addition, the AIBC’s ADP Committee current has openings for two liaison positions. This is an opportunity to assist municipalities around the province in finding architect representatives for their local ADPs. It is a volunteer commitment of about two hours a week, including one monthly lunch meeting (sandwiches provided). For more information, please contact Practice Advisor Michelle Fenton Architect AIBC by e-mail (mfenton@aibc.ca) or phone (604- 683-8588, #333).
