University of British Columbia Centre for Sustainability – LEED in Practice: Architectural Design and Documentation

This course will focus on the requirements under LEED that are typically the responsibility of the architect. Brenda Martens B.Sc. LEED AP BD+C will discuss strategies for passive design, controlling solar gain to improve energy performance, and creating a more humane built environment. Explore how to identify sustainable materials and cut through the “greenwash” in product selection. Learn how to test your design against the requirements of LEED and how to document key credits. This two-session course takes place Tuesday, May 8 and Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the University of British Columbia Robson Square, 800 Robson Street, Vancouver.
