From The Vault: Vancouver’s Urban Landscape

The CBC Vancouver Archives and Vancouver Public Library are co-sponsoring a film screening and panel that will examine the urban landscape of Vancouver circa the 1960s. There will be three short films including a 1966 documentary on Arthur Erickson film that the panel will use as a jumping off point to discuss failed plans of the downtown core. Panelists include: civic historian John Atkin; urban planning critic Lance Berelowitz; Ray Spaxman, former Director of Planning for the City of Vancouver; and current City of Vancouver Director of Planning Brent Toderian. It happens Monday, June 20, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Vancouver Public Library Central Branch (Alice MacKay Room). Admission is free and seating is limited.
